It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ann Brackley on January 16, 2017 after a courageous battle over the years with Sarcoidosis. Ann is predeceased by her husband Victor Brackley and sisters Cynthia Knopp (Len) and Audrey Lakey, brother George, by her parents John Edward Woodrow and Edith Emily Feakins, brother in law Stanley Hall and great nephew Cory Hall.  She will be greatly missed by her daugthers Julie Bouchard (Jacques) and Elaine Woodrow (Stefan Lerche) and grandchildren Emily and Eric Bouchard and her sister Patricia Hall. Also missed by many other family members, brother in law Kenneth Lakey, nephews and neices Linda, Lindsay, Douglas, Susan, Steven, Nigel, Roger, Jason, Sharon and their families.

Ann was born in 1939 and raised in Stanmore, Middlesex, England immigrating to Canada in 1971, moving to Cowichan Bay in 2007. Ann loved animals, especially her dogs Oliver and Baxter and the many birds and other wildlife who visited her garden daily. She was a proud and longstanding member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, the British/Canadian Social Club, Red Hats – Sassy Seasiders and the Arthritis Society.

The family would like to thank Cowichan District Hospital for their compassionate care especially in her last few days.

Fondly remembered and forever missed and loved. You fought hard now it’s time to rest.

At her request, a Service of Remembrance and Celebration of Life will be held at the Anglican Parish of St. Peter, Quamichan, 5800 Church Road, Duncan, B.C. on Sunday, March 26th, at 2:00 p.m. In Lieu of flowers please make a donation in Ann’s Memory to either the Duncan SPCA or Wild ARC at www.spca.bc.ca
