Born in Victoria BC. October 19th 1946 – died in Duncan BC August 8th 2016.
Daughter of the late Grace (Giles) and David Meredith. She joins her beloved husband Charles, who predeceased her in 2001. She leaves behind to grieve her, an amazing daughter Dr. Rebecca MacDougall and cherished grandson Zachary MacDougall of Palm Beach, Fla. Her 6 siblings Leslie Stuart, twin Susan Menzies, Hilary Meredith, David John Meredith, Jocelyn Hidi and Michael Meredith will miss her warmth, sense of humour and great cooking. She was an accomplished sports woman, ice skater, skier, bowler and championship amateur golfer. Her career spanned 5 decades in Ontario, Texas and BC, and many professions from flight attendant, real estate agent to positions in the financial field, most recently as Manager, Accounts Payable at Slegg Lumber. There will be a celebration of Deb’s life in Sidney in September (date to be decided) and a small family service to inter her ashes alongside Charles in Owen Sound in October. No flowers, those who wish to do so may donate in Deb’s memory to the nursing education fund in her parents name at the Ottawa Heart Institute (foundation.ottawaheart.ca at
