In Loving Memory ~

On a beautiful sunny day surrounded by family and with great dignity and strength after battling cancer Denis left us with only our memories to sustain us, memories full of laughter and love for him.

He was always quick with a smile and a laugh. His shop was his second love he was always ready with a solution to your problem and a cold beer. He will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known and loved him. There are no words to express the grief and emptiness we all feel in his passing. He touched many different people in his life and left great memories for all.

He leaves behind his wife of 42 years Karen, his 2 beautiful daughters Michelle [Ian] and Nichole and 3 grandsons and Jake, Sam and Reece and his granddaughter Casey, as well as his sisters, brother, brother in laws and sister in laws and well as countless nieces and nephews.

The support of friends, family, neighbours and all the people who reached out in one way or another is greatly appreciated.

Special thanks to Dr. Jan Malherbe our family physician and friend who not only treated Denis with love and kindness but all of us who are affected by his loss. He was always there when we needed him and never more than a phone call away.

Celebration of life to follow at a later date here in his shop where stories, memories and cold beer can flow.
