With deep sadness we announce the passing of Mom. Joyce was preceded by parents George and Alice Mabell, brother Joseph and beloved husband Ian.
She leaves behind sons Ian (Becky) and John (Karen); grandsons Eric (Deneen), Gareth (Adrienne), Mark (Brittany) and Stanley (Courtney); four great-grandchildren; also grieving nephew David, niece Maureen and family.
Mom greatly appreciated her upbringing in Vancouver and nursing. She was devoted to her husband and loved her family immensely. Her warmth, kindness and wit will be remembered by all who knew her.
The family appreciates the care provided by the amazing staff at the Chemainus Heath Care Centre and mom's friends who helped in recent years.
