Grace Mary Reay, age 93, passed away peacefully on August 7th, 2018, at Cowichan District Hospital. She was born November 7th, 1924, in Raymore, Saskatchewan, to Lily and William Pasfield.
She was predeceased by her 6 siblings, Amy, Margaret, William, Joyce, John, and Walter. She was also predeceased by 1 grandchild, Simmeri Anne Reay, and her husband Richard Reay.
She married Richard in 1966 in Saskatoon. In 1974 they moved to an acreage near Chemainus. She was a devoted volunteer for the Chemainus Health Care Auxiliary, where she was recognized for her countless hours of service. Grace was also an active member of the Chemainus United Church.
Grace will be lovingly remembered by her five children, Valerie, Tom (Vivian), Jackie, Rick (Connie) and David (MayLiz) 13 grandchildren, Kane, Shane, Tom, Mickel, Christine, Andrea, Kyla, Shannon, Chantelle, Jeremy, Jason, Jeff, and Ricki and her 13 great-grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed by her family and community.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Chemainus United Church, Saturday, August 11th at 2 pm.
In lieu of flowers, Grace requested that donations could be made to the Salvation Army.
