Harold Morgan

June 4, 2015

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of William “Wild Bill” Morgan on Thursday, June 4, 2015. He leaves behind his sons Stuart (Darlene) and Brian; grandsons Garrett Amos and Brennan William Morgan; siblings Michael (Barbara), Margaret (Roy), Ronald (Josephine), Patricia (Rob) and Alfred (Dorothy).

Leaving a legacy in all the good he did for others whether for family, friends, the Chemainus Legion or Duncan Elks, no job was ever too small or too much to ask. Master of all trades and problem solver, but it all had to start “with a plan”. Bill’s plan was to stay active, whether that be playing floor hockey in his gym, snooker at the Elks, tinkering in his workshop, or entertaining with karaoke sharing his passion at many Valley Senior care centres with his karaoke crew.

Bill left high school early to help support his family, working in the logging industry before joining the Air Force. He retired as an aircraft technician in Moose Jaw, so he could come back home to Mount Sicker and raise his young family here. He worked as an industrial electrician at the Chemainus Sawmill until it closed, after which Bill did renovations and jack of all trade work, until age 56.

Bill is reunited with his sweetheart Eileen and they are lifting up the heavens with their voices in song. A life well lived, he will be missed. Celebration of life at the Chemainus Legion, Saturday, June 13, 2015, light refreshments served from 2 – 4 pm.
