May 22, 1930 - May 16, 2019
With deep sadness we announce that our dad, Ian George Beveridge Millar, died unexpectedly on May 16, 2019, while holidaying in Scotland, his "soul" country. He wasn't to know that when he said it would be his last trip over, how right he would be. Dad died just six days short of his 89th birthday. His spirit was willing, but his heart was not.
Dad was an industrious and busy man, surrounding himself with all kinds of historic artifacts. He loved knowledge and read copious books. Sharp wit, blustery and big hearted, he was always up for a rousing discussion on just about any topic. He'll be missed by his many friends far and wide.
Survived by his family, Lynda & Howard, Mark & Georgie, Leigh & Chris, Michaela & Ken, grandchildren, Nicole, Nic, Coley, Andrea, Keshia, Keith, Garret, Hanna, Levin, and Cortnee, great grandchildren, Tyra, Lexis and Sadie.
A social gathering will be held at a later date to share a wee dram.
