Born in Kitscoty, Alberta on November 11, 1927, died peacefully at Harmony Care Home in Red Deer, Alberta on August 12, 2016. He is survived by his wife Margaret (Peggy). He leaves behind his son John (Jane) Tyler and daughters Dinene Tyler and Alayne (Lawrence) Farries. He will be remembered by his seven grandchildren Marilla, Nolan, Aaron, Seth, Paige, Orrin and Hannah. He will also be missed by his sisters Kelly Quinn, Beth Potter and brother Bob Tyler.
Jack spent his life working for Pembina Resources in Drayton Valley. He retired to Cobble Hill where he enjoyed his time travelling, gardening, golfing, and repairing clocks. In recent years he had suffered declining health.
A memorial service will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapel 4820-45 Street on Friday August 19, 2016 at 1:00 pm. Cremation and private family internment are planned at Jack’s request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army 4837 54St Red Deer, AB, T4N 2G5 or the charity of one’s choice.
