Passed away peacefully with family by his side in the Cowichan District Hospital on Saturday, March 5, 2022. Predeceased by his first wife of 51 years, Thelma Frances, the mother of his children and sister Wilma Clement.
Lovingly remembered by his family: wife of 11 years, Merilyn: children Karen (Marc) Jefferies and Arlene (Graham) Park, grandchildren Amy (Shawn) Gardener, Brent (Jesse) Jefferies, Michelle (Matthew) Bleakney, Alan (Emily) Park, and great grandchildren Mia, Miles, Bree, Blair and Ellie.
Jack was born in Mount Brydges, Ontario on May 30, 1936. From there, he made Vancouver Island his home for 19 years.
He had a talent and love for woodworking and spent many happy hours in his workshop creating toys, furniture and crafts for his family, friends, and community. Jack enjoyed travelling, snowbirding in Florida, spending time with his grandchildren and sharing his passion for woodworking with them.
Jack was a man of faith, and a deacon in his church for many years. He enjoyed spending his time volunteering in the church and the community.
A family celebration will be held at a later date, followed by a dessert reception for family and friends. Anyone wishing to make a donation may consider Duncan Christian School, or a charity of your choice.
