Michael Woywitka passed away peacefully at home at the age of 91, with his wife Cheryl by his side. Mike was born in Fedorah, Alberta on December 22, 1926.
He was the youngest and only son of 5 children, which have all predeceased him, including his first wife Lucy.
Michael is survived by his wife Cheryl and 4 children, Nick, Linda (Russell) Penner, Violet (Archie) Moffatt and John (Kelly), 10 grandchildren & 7 great-grandchildren.
Mike brought his young family from Westlock, Alberta to the Cowichan Valley in 1967. He was a self-taught carpenter & built many homes in Alberta and the Cowichan Valley.
He was well respected by all trades. Mike was a gentle, kind-hearted, well-loved man to all that knew him. He loved his card games and will be sadly missed by many.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 20th at First Memorial Funeral Services, 375 Brae Road, Duncan, BC, V9L 3T9.
