Passed away peacefully at home on February 2, 2017 with his wife and family members at his side.
Bud was predeceased by his wife Mary of 47 years in 2002; his grandson Kevin and his sister Julie. He is survived by his loving wife Carole; son Ken (Ingrid); daughters Sherri (George), Jeannie (Milt), Lori (Mike) and his brother Richard. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jody (Lisa), Steven (Drew), Sarah (Jeremy) and Mark (Kate), Paul (Cheryl) and Brandon, Jacob; great-grandchildren Linnea, Grace and Rowan and many nieces and nephews.
Bud was well-known in the Cowichan Valley for his “Bud’s Carpet Cleaning” business which he operated for 32 years. He was formerly a member of the RCMP; and affiliated with the Shriners and Masons. He will be well recognized as a Shrine Clown. Bud was a good friend to many and will always be remembered for his beautiful smile and his willingness to help wherever needed.
Service will be conducted by the Reverend Foster Greed at Trinity United Church, 6234 Spartan Road, Nanaimo on February 11, 2017 at 12:30pm. Refreshments will be served following the service.
