Vera Chown (nee Gibson)

February 12, 1923 - May 4, 2019
Vera passed away peacefully in Cowichan District Hospital following a debilitating stroke. Predeceased by her husband Les and survived by her daughters Shirley Hovind and Linda Robson, her grandchildren Greg Robson (Carli), Sherra Collett (Brent) and Celene Toovey (Ryan), her great grandchildren Grady and Delaney Robson, Jordan & Justin Dewhirst, Anna and Emma Collett, her sister Elsie Shaw, her sister-in law Winnie Bridges (Jack) and her many nieces and nephews.
We would like to thank her extended family at Wedgwood and her close friend Eric Smedley who helped make her last two years so enjoyable. Also, we would like to thank Dr. R. Gilbert for his care and compassion and the staff of the third floor at the hospital for their excellent care and attention.
A memorial tea will be held at the Wedgwood on Saturday, May 11 at 1 pm. A luncheon will be served.
