Passed away surrounded by his loving family at the Cowichan District Hospital, Duncan, BC on August 2nd, 2016; age 86 years. Born in Newcastle, England on June 18th, 1930, and then came to Duncan to the Fairbridge School Farm. Survived by his four sons; William, Glen, James and Douglas; grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Ted and Tommy; numerous nieces and nephews. Red worked for many years for Rainer Canada, Western Forest Products as a heavy equipment operator. He was an ardent fishing guide and sports fisherman. A loving and caring man, his memory will be cherished in the hearts of all those lives he touched.
Celebration of William (Red’s) Life was held at Mercury Theatre, 311 Brae Road, Duncan, BC on August 6th, 2016 from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m.
