Don’t keep house and car keys together

Don’t keep house amd car keys together

Yesterday when I parked at the supermarket, I found a set of keys, which I turned in to the customer service desk. I noticed that house keys were attached to the same key ring as the car keys.

Many years ago I attended a safety course given by the Vancouver Police. Among the recommendations was to keep your auto and house keys separate. Why? Suppose I had decided to track down the car in the parking lot — very easy these days with remote key fobs.

Once in the car, I could have found the insurance papers, giving the address. Then I could have used the house keys to enter the residence and make off with whatever I wanted.

I thought your readers might appreciate this cautionary reminder.
