Hear me Holy Father for I have sinned. I confess to having spent a lifetime consuming resources and energy far beyond my material needs. I have knowingly contributed to the global accumulation of “filth.” I have chosen to consume and discard at the expense of humanity’s poorest. I have consumed the inheritance of generations unborn.
My penitence is to witness a greatly diminished Creation for which there is no forgiveness.
