Deli manager makes customer’s day with turkey sandwich
While visiting my brother in Duncan last week, to help him with renovations to a townhouse he recently bought, I walked to a deli near the local Country Grocer to buy a sandwich.
To my amazement and disappointment, all the sandwiches were made with mustard. I politely asked the clerk if there were any sandwiches without mustard. She said no! I started to slightly moan and the supervisor asked me if she could assist me. I explained that I was from out of town, helping my brother renovate an empty townhouse, and I was starving hoping to get a sandwich without mustard.
Well, she says, we have already made today’s sandwiches but for you I will make you a fresh one without mustard. What would you like? I chose turkey! It was the best turkey sandwich ever and excellent customer service. I was so happy! Thank you to the deli manager for taking the time help sustain me!
