Freedom is hard earned
I wish to respond to another letter posted recently in this publication. This opinion was submitted by E. Forestell, regarding the freedom and compassion between our domestic group that is protesting and the desperate Ukrainians fighting for their lives.
Well, hear, hear, I completely agree with the piece and it was bang on. Our nation, Canada, is a great country where civil liberties and freedoms abound (letting you malcontents demonstrate peacefully with proper permits).
This world wide pandemic has put a strain on all countries. Through all this confusion some freedoms and liberties were suspended. This was in our best interest to keep all healthy and not joining the thousands that perished.
But it seems a few of you folks would rather be dead, than inconvenienced with a mask and a couple of vaccines.
If that is the case, go to the Ukraine and continue your demonstrations for freedom. It would both be welcome and effective, unlike here.
