Thanks for crosswalk on Herons Way
To the District of North Cowichan:
I would like to offer my sincere thanks and gratitude for the addition of the crosswalk on Herons Way where the trail beside Drinkwater Elementary schoolyard meets the Herons Wood walking path. This location is one that is frequented daily by neighbourhood pedestrians and the new crosswalk will undoubtedly slow street traffic making it safer for our children and citizens.
A special thank you to councilwoman Joyce Behnsen for making my suggestion a reality. Your help in advocating for the crosswalk has both increased the safety on our road and made me feel that my voice is important and heard in my community.
