The curse continues.
Cowichan's Lower Island Women's Soccer Association team lost yet another 1-0 game. This time it was Lakehill who prevailed, handing Cowichan their fourth identical defeat in a row.
The lone goal went in off keeper Kerynne Bain, bouncing off the post and hitting Bain from behind before trickling into the Cowichan net.
Cowichan generated a few scoring chances as Monni Savory and Nicole Pugh each had a couple of shots, and Rachel Pugh rang the ball off the post.
"It was not that their keeper kept them in the game, it was that our shots were either too weak, too wide, over the top, or directly at the keeper," coach Marilyn Pugh said.
The team will try to break the curse again this weekend when they play host to Juan de Fuca at Evans Park at noon on Sunday.
