Cowichan Bulldogs catch on with Team BC

The Cowichan Bulldogs are catching the eyes of provincial team coaches.

Two Bulldogs are in Manitoba this week, playing with Team BC at the U16 Red River Cup, while two more are on the cusp of cracking the U18 Team BC roster. Bulldogs Bailey Lamont and Logan Swanson are playing in the Red River Cup tournament, where Team BC has two entries: Team Orange and Team Blue. Team BC are the defending champions of the tournament.

Meanwhile, it was announced last week that Cowichan offensive linemen Ryan Hennig and Tyler Hudson have survived the initial cut for the U18 team that will compete at the FBU International Showcase in San Antonio, Texas, in late December and early January.

Of the 120 players who attended the Team BC camp in May, 61 have made the cut-down roster. The final roster of 36 players is expected to be announced in mid-December.
