The Cowichan Cougars recorded their third straight tie to start the O30A women’s soccer season, playing to a 1-1 draw with Vic West at Finlayson Park on Friday night.

Neither team scored in a well-matched first half, but Jenna Waddy opened the scoring early in the second half. Vic West buried the rebound from a goal-mouth scramble with about 10 minutes left, the second time in two weeks that the Cougars have allowed the tying goal in the last 10 minutes.

The Cougars will have this weekend off, then will make their home debut on Oct. 20 when they play host to Gorge FC at Evans Park.
