In two Vancouver Island Field Hockey League games against Lynx I, the Cowichan Flickers came away with a loss and a tie.
Lynx I won the match between the Div. 1 rivals at UVic last Wednesday by a 5-3 score. Cowichan’s goals came from Emma Dame, Kyla Toljander and Dara Goodman.
On Saturday, the teams battled to a 3-3 draw at John Ferreira Field in Duncan. Toljander, Ashton Aumen and Kaileigh Simons did the scoring for the Flickers, who visit the Patriots this coming Saturday.
In Div. 2, Reese Nagy scored twice as the Cowichan Cardinals trounced the Sailors 5-0 at UVic. Also scoring were Chloe Langkammer, Shannon Parker and Ashlyn Toljander. The Cardinals will host the Swifts this Sunday at 10 a.m.
In Div. 3, Sharyn Higginson had two goals and Jill Dayton added one as the Cowichan Kestrels edged Lynx III 3-2. The Kestrels will be at home this Saturday at 11 a.m. against the Devils.
