Midget A Cowichan Valley Thunder goaltender Colin Jeffrey was phenomenal on Tuesday in a 7-0 loss on the road against Juan de Fuca.

The Thunder had just nine runners on the floor, and despite playing their hearts out, couldn’t match JDF in terms of possession. Jeffrey ended up facing more than 70 shots and allowing just seven goals.

The Thunder played to a closer 7-4 score in their previous game, also a loss to JDF, at Kerry Park Arena on June 1.

Hunter Hieta scored twice and added an assist, while midget C call-up Jace Hilton had a goal and one helper. Nathan Clark also scored, and Rhys Mazurenko recorded an assist.
