Quw’utsun prevails in soccer home opener

2-0 win over Vic West gets Div. 3 team off to good start

Quw’utsun FC engineered a 2-0 victory over Vic West Wanderers at Si’em Lelum Field in their first game of the Div. 3 men’s soccer season on Sunday afternoon.

Devin Jack and Shane Brown scored two minutes apart late in the first half of the match, and Cordell Jack earned the clean sheet on a soggy afternoon.

Next up for Quw’utsun is a road game against Peninsula FC at Blue Heron Park this Friday evening.

Peninsula FC has also played one match so far this season, a 1-0 loss to Vic West Wanderers.
