Chalk up two more home wins for the Duncan Masters fastball team.

The Masters beat Wheatsheaf 5-4 at Glenora’s Waldon Park on June 27, then downed Baker Supply 7-5 this past Tuesday.

In the June 27 game, a Steve Lingren home run in the bottom of the sixth inning made it 5-3 for Duncan. Wheatsheaf scored once in the top of the seventh, but that was as close as they would get.

Jamie Gicas pitched the first three innings, allowing two runs, and also went 2-for-3 at the plate with a pair of RBIs in the third inning. The last four innings were pitched by Craig Snyder, who also gave up two runs and went 1-for-3 at the plate with a second-inning RBI. Trevor Gicas was 1-for-2 with two runs and another third-inning RBI.

In their most recent game, the Masters got a two-run homer from Dave Devana to tie things at 5-5 in the fifth inning. In the sixth, Lingren hit a double, then scored the eventual winning run on a triple by Jamie Gicas. Gicas added an insurance run on a passed ball.

The Duncan team compiled 12 hits on the night. Jamie Gicas went 2-for-3 with three runs and an RBI, and Lingren was 2-for-3 with a run. Trevor Gicas was 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI, and Blair Bourgeault was 1-for-3 with a run. Sam Aldridge pitched the first five innings, and Snyder closed the game out with four strikeouts as he held Baker Supply hitless.
