U14 Lightning edge North Island twice

The U14 Mid Island Lightning won a pair of close battles against their North Island rivals at the Cowichan Sportsplex last Sunday.

Caleb Nordstrom scored four times as the Lightning won the first game of the doubleheader 6-4, with Derian Thompson and Tyler Smith also hitting the net.

Nordstrom and Kurtis Smith had two goals apiece in the second game, an 8-6 Mid Island victory. Thompson, Tyler Smith, Jazzy Shafi and Ryan John also scored, while Nathan Clark, Colin Jeffrey and both Smiths recorded assists.
