For the second consecutive year, Queen Margaret’s School and the Cowichan Valley Wrestling Clubhosted the QMS Christmas Classic Wrestling Invitational, a vibrant gathering that drew over 180 wrestlers from Vancouver Island and the mainland.
“It was a really busy weekend of wrestling with amazing results,” said tournament director Nick Zuback.
The event encompassed three divisions: elementary (Grades 3-7), junior (Grades 8-9), and senior (Grades 10-12), showcasing the diverse talent of young wrestlers.
”Our local athletes exhibited unwavering determination and remarkable skill throughout their matches, painting a dynamic picture of high school wrestling and grassroots talent united in one arena,” Zuback said.
QMS secured second place overall, with Quamichan placing third in the junior division, and Frances Kelsey earning second place in the senior division.
